Relaxation


There is no better place to unwind than at Tenuta Aia Vecchia, in the heart of nature. Guests are able to make use of comfortable seating and sun beds to relax, paint, read, meditate or just admire the views from the garden and watch the world go by. There are many interesting walks around the area and footpaths run through the olive groves and woods. Enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna, the superb vista and the fresh, pure air. During these marvellous country walks it is not rare to see deers, pheasants,

wild boars and, if you are lucky enough, even a porcupine. If you are familiar with plants and herbs you will be astonished by the variety and abundance of wildgrowing medicinal herbs. And children love the unusual freedom of movement, the contact with our friendly pets and the stimulating outdoor playing because there are no dangerous roads but only a lot of space. Well trained treasures (four-legged friends!) are also welcome at Aia Vecchia and for horse lovers we have our own dressage-ring. Tennis courts and mountain bike hire are both available in the nearby village. There are two 18-hole golf courses about 40km away. If you like walking there are lots of different routes you can take to explore the countryside and there are plenty of opportunities to swim in the sea, lakes and rivers or in thermal spas. If you prefer to eat out, there are many little typical restaurants, which serve a tempting selection of Tuscan specialities.
